Artist Statement
When I first dipped my toes in the art world, I was sick and kept having fever dreams. My mom was actually the one who jumpstarted my art career when I told her about a particularly strange dream I had the night before. She told me that I could make a story out of it, and gave me paper and some of my sister’s Manga, and I became self-taught for a good few years, taking tips from the internet and other art friends. In the summer of my Junior Year of High School, I was enrolled a Pre-College program at Ringling College of Art and Design, where I learned how to make my poses more dynamic, and unlearned many bad habits I had picked up. After Pre-College, I started to really hone my craft as a comic artist and animator, which I still continue to do to this day. The goal in my work is to create a world, characters, and story that people feel something about, like how the stories and art I enjoy make me feel things.
